Shellard
« on: Wednesday 29 June 05 19:21 BST (UK) »
Could anyone look up for me the following:
Joseph Shellard born about 1815 - 1817 in Northampton.  I am looking to find his dad and mom.  Think it maybe Edward/Mary but this is guess work here.
Sorry but don't know the area in Northampton - possibly Sulgrave.  Anything really even marriage(s)
Much appreciated.

There are 2 Shellard families in Sulgrave in 1841 but neither has a Joseph.  They are:

William 40 Ag. Lab., Joyce 40, Zalek 12, Karenhappe 10, Ezra 8, Louihannah 5, Zerriah 1.

George 45 Ag. Lab., Hannah 51, Ann 25, Charlotte 18, John 15, Elizabeth 13, Jane 10, Robert 80 Ag. Lab.

All above born Northamptonshire

If you come up with any other possible towns/villages in the county I will gladly look them up for you.
Pam

There is a Joseph born Northants about 1812 on the 1881 in Worcestershire.

Can you expand the info you already have at all.

Wendy

Joseph Shellard

I know he was born about 1812 in Northants "Banbury" maybe the borders were different then.  Really would like to think that maybe Edward could be his dad??

Yes Joseph did move to Worcester.  Lots of others moved, ie Edward born 1775, Samuel born 1823 in Northampton.  They all moved so I think that Joseph could be related to them.  Have come to a dead end at the moment with Joseph but he must be related if he moved to Worcester like Edward etc.
If I can link him with my family I have Joseph's children and also marriage certificates etc.

Many thanks

Hi Sandra

I have just looked at the 1841 census for Shellard but none there as Banbury would have been in Oxfordshire.

If you wish post on the Oxfordshire forum and see if any one can help you further.

Hi,

My husband has a Hannah Prestidge in his tree born 1789 in Moreton Pinkney.

Her brother, Thomas, was my husbands GGGGrandfather.

Is it the same one?
