TALBOT West Ham, any connections COMPLETE THANK YOU
« on: Monday 17 March 08 11:44 GMT (UK) »
Is there anyone who can connect with this family please.

Mary Penney, nee Brown, married William James Talbot (widower)1901 West Ham, confirmed.

Alfred (Edward) Talbot born Dec qtr 1901 West Ham, died Romford 1962 both confirmed.

I have searched Ancestry for a marriage between
Alfred (Edward) Talbot and Emily Morley purported to have been early 1930's. between 1926 and 1939 with no luck so far.

Alfred and Emily had 2 children, Edward and Pat, possibly Patricia.

Any connections to this family gratefully received, most of this information I have got through a distant relative in Australia

Thank you in anticipation

Good morning Patricia
I have no idea where you hail from, I will give you a background of what I know, incidentally I live in England, wet and dull this morninghttp:// :(

My husband's cousin,  Dorothy, nee Brown,  lives in Australia, she has been to England on numerous occasions where we have scoured the archives for any info towards her family tree, Dorothy is now in her 80's and sadly won't be coming "home" again but we keep in touch regularly by snail mail

Dorothy is connected in the family from Richard Brown, also names connected are Penny, Talbot  and  Southcott .

Mary Brown married James Penney before she married William James Talbot, these I believe to be your grandparents

I have just rung Dorothy who is an avid searcher even though she hasn't got a computer and has managed to  find family connections from almost all over the world, she has just heard from Marilyn W(h)atley who lives in Ontario. Only a month ago Dorothy had given me details again of your parents marriage except she didn't know where they got married, I hadn't been able to find them marrying in England, so now you have given me the information they married in Canada is a real bonus.

This is most exciting news and you no doubt hold the key to Dorothy's missing Talbot family

I will look forward to any news you care to give me to pass on to Dorothy, you are welcome to PM me if you want to, I notice you are a new comer to Rotschat, WELCOME.

Best Regards

Louisa Maud

Hi Louisa   This is the ssecopnd time I have typed this message  I seemed to lose it somewhere so if you di receive it the first time please forive me.

Mary Brown and William Talbot were my grandparents.  I have met most of the Whatley family and did meet Marilyn on one occasion.   I know tht she was doing a family tree some time ago.
I also live in England  I  was born in Hornchurch Essex and moved to Coventry in 1971 where I still live....I am at present on a short break near Plymouth Devon but will be back home on Friday.   My brother and his wife Sylvia have retired to Devon and live in Seaton.......I have three children,  Andrew who was born 13.7.69 Deborah 14.2.71 (they were both  born in Romford Essex)  My  youngest daughter is Angela who was born 20.1.75  She was born in Coventry....My  brother(Ted)I  had two children (adopted)  Paul 45  and Karen  41.....I know that Penney and Southcott are family names.  I have lost the whereabouts of the Southcott family   I would like to know my full family tree so that I can pass the info down to my children

What relation would your husban's cousin be to me  I am intrigued.....Where in Australia does she liver - I go there often
Any more info would be be gratefully received  Many thanks Pat

Hi Pat
I will send you my personal email address for you to contact me directly.

Marylyn I believe has lots of info about the family tree, it is she that has given Dorothy lots of info, I don't have it all here as Brown and Talbot are not my family, a Brown married a Maddieson and that is how Dorothy is my husbands second cousin, Tony, my husband, his mother was nee Maddieson

Dorothy lives in Adelaide, I would love to go there myself, one day I might

TALBOT West Ham, any connections COMPLETE THANK YOU

Greetings to all Talbot descendants.
My great great grandfather was Charles Talbot, whose name may have also been spelled Talbert in some records.  He was born in the Paddington/Marylebone area of London/Middlesex U.K. in approximately 1828 and he married Mary Ann Munro who was born in or around the same area in approximately 1829.
They had at least eight children, including, Charles, Joseph, John, William, George, Thomas, Alfred and a daughter who was also called Mary Ann I believe.
Charles Talbot was a Carman, which I suppose was a cab driver.
