There is certainly no hurry. It will be interesting to see if there is any deteriation over the years.

His name is Reginald William Johnson (same as mine) He is buried in the Monumental Part, Portion 1, Section 67A, Grave number 66.  You will note that I am not mentioned on the inscription.  That is because he died just before I was born.

That is so sad. I feel I must go and polish it up for you  :'(  meanwhile - the cemeteries here seem to be reasonably well looked after - although Lutwyche  less so than some of the others. I'm sure it will be much the same

Hi Trish,

Was hoping it would be okay to take you up on your kind offer as well, would love to get  photo's of some relatives of mine that are buried there.

Mary Fairbanks Portion 30, Section 42, Grave Number 19 and
Edwin John and Edwin Richard Fairbanks that are buried together in Portion 29, Section 23, Grave Number 04.

Not sure if they have headstones but if you have time would still love to have a photo of the grave site. More than happy to pay for any cost. Thanks heaps.

Hi Nari

From the pictures there appear to be formed graves, so hopefully headstones. There is no cost.

Thanks Trish,

I really appreciate you giving your time to look for me, fingers crossed there are headstones to the sites.

Just to finalise the thread. I visited 7 graves - 4 had headstones, 1 had a small stone giving the name, 1 had a grave but no headstone and the last one was an unmarked patch of grass.

Hi Nari

You're most welcome - and of course today is nice and sunny (just right for photographs) - yesterday was overcast and muggy!    :)  :)

Trish

The photographs were marvellous, thanks  ;D

I've also passed them on to two other family members (one just recently discovered via RootsChat) and they were really grateful too....

Best wishes

Angela
