I'm hoping to get to Toowong Cemetery next weekend to take a few photos for LindaS, so if anyone else would like a grave checked, do please let me know. You can search the cemetery records at

I would be grateful of a photo of Cecil Barton Twisden Bedford who is buried at Toowong Cemetery:

in Portion 12, Section 30, Grave Number 19.

There may not be much of a grave as he was an infant death on 19 Dec 1891 and buried on 20 Dec 1891.

Thanks for your kind offer.

Tis unusual to find an infant buried alone, so there may be a headstone Reg. Hopefully we shall find something (although I have found a number of unmarked plots at Toowong - the burial records are very comprehensive).

My dad is buried in the Lutwyche Cemetery on Gympie Road.  I have a photo of it but was taken many years ago.

Hi Trish

It is very kind of you to offer to check graves for us  ;D

If you have time, it would be really great to have a photo of Thomas and Ann Sophia Sealey's grave (my great-grandad's nearest brother, who escaped from England to warmer climes....) The reference is Portion 18 Section 90 Grave no 16.

Don;t worry if you get flooded with requests, but I've also found the grave of one of their daughters, Jane Paine, who is buried with her youngest child, Grace Evelyn Paine. Their reference is Portion 25 Section 15 Grave No 4.

If you can find either (or both  ::) ) of these, that would be tremendous - it's so difficult finding anything from this distance .....

Thanks again

Angela

I was there just a few weeks ago taking photos for someone else  :(  :(
I worry about myself sometimes - having a hobby of visiting graves - feel somewhat like a train spotter  :)  :)
If you want to give me the details, I will get there again - but not sure when

This is the problem we usually have in Australia trying to get information from UK  ;D
Perhaps we need google earth to come in a little closer.
Meanwhile - its no problem, if I miss any this trip, there is always the next one.

Thanks Trish.  There is certainly no hurry. It will be interesting to see if there is any deteriation over the years.

His name is Reginald William Johnson (same as mine) He is buried in the Monumental Part, Portion 1, Section 67A, Grave number 66.  You will note that I am not mentioned on the inscription.  That is because he died just before I was born.
