I noticed it had gone up to £9.50 ( I thought it was £7.50!!)

Thanks for the nudge Keith.  I only had 2 days left to renew and they were still offering me the old £7.50 rate!

Just had my next lot of hot matches. Now up to the D's and there seem to be several sure fire matches for my Dennis family, so I'm well content :)

I'd report it to Genes Reunited.  What would you do if something similar happened here?

Mustn't complain too loudly, as I've had one or two useful contacts via GR ... but (there's always a but!) ...

the Hot Matches is a bit tiresome.  So many names that share the year of birth but were born at the other end of the country - so much potential for wasted messaging between GR members!

Given my experience of the so-called 'Hot Matches', if I were on the lookout for a potential partner (which I'm not, just in case Mrs E happens to be looking!) then I'd fight shy of signing up to the Dating service that GR also run.

I'd input my interests as Bob Dylan, Family History and Fridge Magnets and probably get matched with a Magic Roundabout fan, someone with an interest in contraceptive devices and a purveyor of white goods. :)

cheers

Paul :)

Or born in another country when you have clearly added your birthplace and they haven't.  I am getting very aggravated by Hot matches.  I had 22 new matches the other day to my William Baldwin born 1829, St Giles, London, UK.  All 22 were born in the USA.  Does somebody not know their geography!!!!!! >:(
