1891/1881 Look Up

Hi Everyone,

Not sure if this is the right place to put this request, sorry if it's not I'm new to this.

I am looking for any information on the following:

Ann Elizabeth MCGRANE born in Liverpool c.1876, married Henry GEORGE September 1/4 1896 at Toxteth Park. Henry was born in Liverpool c.1875
I have them both living in Wolfe Street, Toxteth Park in the 1901 Census.

Any information would be greatly appreciated, this side of my family I am having a few problems with, not knowing how to get more information.

I have tried the 1891/1881 cenus for Ann and have yet to locate her

I found your 1901 reference

Anne born abt 1876

Henry born abt 1875

Henry born abt 1895

Margaret born abt 1897


Is the last name McGrane correct ?

Do you have the birth or marriage certs for either of the two people you are looking for as it can help narrow the search

Awaiting Certificates, I know it will at least give me their fathers names and addresses, but as yet nothing has turned up by snail post.

I will add it to my list of names other than mine that i keep an eye out for when i am searching

I did find the marriage in 1896 as well so it gives me hope that the last name is correct. Just have to find her further back

Just found a Ann McGrain born in  Mar qtr 1876

District of birth West Derby  (which includes Toxteth Park)

Might be her as typo error are common as people tended to write how it sounded not how it was spelt
