First off I would like to wish everyone a very merry christmas and a happy new year.
Now I would like to let anyone who is interested in my Selby line that i have finally got a date for when my 2x grandparents died and where they are buried. I had found out that they moved to Syston ,leicester so i decided to write to the SYSTON TOWN COUNCIL and they were extremely kind and sent me the burial record of my 2x grandmother CHARLOTTE SARAH SELBY(nee HULL), so she is buried at the Syston cemetery,leicester on barkby road and she passed away the 4 april, 1929 age 69 yrs old.The parish in which the death occured was Rothley and she was buried the 9th of april,1929. It is also written that it is on a consecrated ground in a un bricked grave, does that mean she has no tombstone??
Also my 2x grandfather THOMAS SELBY is also buried in the same cemetery but they told me that the record book of interment appears to of been destroyed so they were at least able to send me a copy of the receipt book in which the details of the payment of his funeral is written. I am not sure what day he passed away but i have 2 dates, 13 april, 1938 and 16 april, 1938,so I figure maybe he passed away the 13th ?? he was 78.
Well I am just glad I finally know when they passed on .
