people in falkirk

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can help me find two families in Falkirk in the 1830's 1840's.
Isabella McMillan born around 1832 her father was Thomas McMillan, shoemaker.

David Henderson born around 1836 his father was John Henderson, tailor.

I have David and Isabella married in 1864 in Liverpool, and on each of the censuses their place of birth is Falkirk.

Any help would be appreciated.

i could only finf one thomas with a daughter isabella on the 1841 census.

1841 census-agnew crescent, wigtown

thomas...age 40...shoemaker
isabella...age 45
alexander...age 15
isabella...age 8
william...age 6

also i can find one david with john the tailor, but he is born aberdeen?

Hi Joe,
Only just got your message as I've been on holiday.
This certainly looks as though this is the family I've been searching for.
Thanks so much for finding them. this has been on the back-burner for so long, I'd given up hope.
Have you got any details about David Henderson that you can send me.
Although it says Aberdeen I would still like anything you can find.
I've found lots of discrepancies on censuses in the past, and realised that you have to explore all possibilities.

thomas and isabella mcconnell had at least 6 children that i can find on the igi's
all their christening dates are extracted.

your wee grace can be found living with her granny on the 1841 census

as you can see janet erskine was the mother of thomas, she and alexander mcmillan had at least 7 children who's christening dates are also extracted.

Hi Joe,
This is the info from the 1881 census on Family Search

David Henderson, Head of household
aged 44, Born Falkirk, Scotland occupation Tailor, address 14 Hyde Street,
Wife Isabella aged 43 born Falkirk, Scotland.
They were at this address for a long time.
I'm just gonna look on Ancestry for the 1871 census.

On th e1871 census, they are at Hyde street, they have their first son Thomas Alexander aged 10. David was 34 and Isabella was 36, a bit of discrepancy in the age of Isabella.
It says they were both born in Scotland.
They have visitors Edward Conlin and Janet Conlin both from Scotland, I presume these are husband and wife.
