1851 Census John and Elizabeth Wilson -
« on: Tuesday 18 October 05 20:16 BST (UK) »
If anyone has access to an indexed version of the 1851 census I would be really grateful if the family of John and Elizabeth WILSON could be looked up.   John was born in 1819 and would have been aged 32 in 1851.  He was a jeweller and watch dealer in 1861 - so was probably employed as a jeweller or jewellers assistant in 1851.  All later census returns record his place of birth as the City of London (Westminster).   Children in 1851 would have included Mary Anne Wilson (born around 1850),  John Wilson (born 1842 birth registered in Southwark),  Henry Wilson (born around 1843 birth registered in Strand London) and  Eliza born around 1849.
Any information on this family would be really, really helpful
Many thanks
Jenny

Hello

I'm doing a bit of regular housekeeping and noticed this older request.  Wondering if you are still looking for anything on this topic or you have resolved it in the meantime?  If you're still looking, this might be a tough one to find so do you have any further info to add that might assist finding them?

If we don't hear from you in a while, I'll assume the latter and move it to the 'completed' section.

Regards
Biker

Hello Biker.
Many thanks for your interest.  I managed to find the information I wanted - eventually.  The names are quite common so it was a long job but I got there in the end.  I'm fairly new to the list so I don't know how to take my post off.     If you are able to do so  as the moderator I would be happy for you to do so.  If not, please let me know how to do it and I'll make sure that its done as soon as possible.
All the best
Jenny from wet and wild Wales.
