Census Help - Edward Tagg, Hackney
« on: Sunday 22 August 04 12:53 BST (UK) »
Hi,

Need help from anyone who has access to pre 1881 Census (I have him for 1881) to look up parents/family, ages, address of Edward Tagg,  Hackney (Middlesex) born 1854.

Also would be interested on anyone with links or other info on him or his wife Jane Allen born 1858 in Hackney.

Thanks in advance

Hi Kris,

Thanks for the quick response.
As Bethnal Green is only 1.5 miles away I think this could be my Edward only problem is he was a Plasterers Labourer in 1881 and Bricklayer by 1891 but a taylor in 1871?

The Allen info has also given me some clues to follow up.

Again many thanks.

Hi John
On the 1861 London census RG9-123 f110 Pancras Kentish Town( you will need someone to look it up for you) there is
Edward W Allen aged 33
Edward W Allen aged 4
Jane E aged 2
Ellen H aged 25

wonder if these tie in?

Hi John
Just looked at the 1851 census for you with the address Joyce supplied but the family were not living there at that time.
