Strachans From Rosehearty-Birnie,Mair,Milne,Rae,Smith and Walker

Am looking for family of John Strachan (and his brothers William and Alexander) and Mary Birmie. John's parents Alexander and Helen (Laurence) moved from Gamrie, to Peathill, in the early 1800's.
Families connected by marriage are Birnie, Milne Mair, Smith, Rae and Walker.

Hi Strachan, Ihave a Jean Strachan married to James Anderson at Kennethmont in 1768.Any relation?

We have a Jessie Strachan married to a James Anderson but this was in the early 1900's. I am not able to check whether your  Jean and James are connected as I have been able to trace family back as far as the early 1800's.

Check out the N.E.F.A. site through Google and you will find information re the Walkers of Richmond/Buchan etc. It pertains to Folk Lore of North East Aberdeenshire. Also check out the site"Walkers of Scotland" through Google. Good Luck Dell

Hi Strachan

Jannet Birnie married Alexander Scott @ 1810. She was his second wife. Alexander is my husbands ancestor. Jannet, Alexander & his first wife Christian Pyper are buried at Peathill. Jannet & Alexander both died in March 1850
