Hi as well
Another novice, this time from Canada. Couldn't resist the friendly vibes on this site!  I'm researching MacDonalds from Suinasletter (spelling???) South  Morar and MacIsaacs from Canna. In particular I'm interested in those who emigrated to Prince Edward Island (St. John's Island), Cape Breton and Antigonish  Nova Scotia Canada 1750 1790.  Other names of interest are McQuaig, MacPhearson, MacArthur, MacKinnon, Dalling, Walters and Grant.  This looks to be a terrific site, I'm looking forward to hearing from anyone interested in these families!
cheers

Hi Dollard, sorry about the delay in replying, been busy with my MacEachern/MacKechnie research, I dont know much about my MacAulay descendants except that Janet MacAulay was the 2nd wife of Angus MacMillan and the daughter of Donald MacAulay and Kirsty MacPhee of Uachdar, Janet and Angus had 1 son, Roderick, who went on to marry Catherine MacInnes from Balivanich, dont know if any of this will tie in with your family, if it does let me know. Just as a matter of interest, on the Southuist.com website forum there is a question regarding MacAulays from South Uist and there removal to P.E.I. you may find a connection there.

Good luck in your research.
