bernard and lily shorrock

can anybody tell me where a lily and bernard shorrock are buried,i know they were living in moston in 1914 where bernard was in the police force, i have been trying to find out when and where they died,i think bernard remarried after lily died.

hi jan bernard was born in blackburn 1883,mved to east stonehouse to join navy married lily nancarrow born 1885 in tavistock,married in 1905 registered in plymouth,most of the children were born in devon, moved to moston in about 1912 where bernard joined police they had 2 more children there norman and olive then i am stuck,my grandmother was born in eaststonehouse in 1909 but must have gone to school in moston somewhere,but nobody knows nothing sadly she died in 1937 giving birth to asecond child and my mother was only 3 so knows nothing about her.any help with anything would be great

dawn here again i tried to send sue shorrock a message but it was returned by postmaster.do you know where ashton-under-lyme is my mum seems to remember a some stage she went to see bernard when she was 14 in 1948 and he was living there then as a police sargent but she was only allowed the once by her dad. i know i might sound stupid not knowing where anywhere is in manchester but i have never been there i am in wales and have been most of my life

do you mean Ashton-Under-Lyne, this is a town about 5/6 miles out of Manchester

What a piece of luck  ;D

Came across this grave very much by chance, you can see how small it is against the headstone, I was looking at a war grave when I saw this and remembered you were looking for Shorrock and Nancarrow. I am more than sure they are who you are looking for

Lily Shorrock (34) & Mary Nancarrow (94)

The grave is located in Philips Park Cemetery (K N/C Section), Manchester

Previous Public Service: Royal Marine Light Infantry 12 years
Removal: 21.02.1938
Reason: Superannuated (pensioned)


Born may be a typo error of the transcriber

thanks ken where do you get all your info? that is definitely my ggrandad,muriels father i will print it off now and the pictures you gave me of lily and mary mum will be well pleased.mum told me her mother was a telephonist in manchester from leaving school where ever that was until she married my grandfather would you by any chance know of anywhere there could have been a telephone exchange
