My Great Grandfather is Cyril Norman Gibbs, migrated to Australia around 1932? My Nanna's name is Rena and she was named after a Grandmother, who is believed to be a Maori. Other than that we know very little about the family.

Yes Cyril was born in NZ. My Nanna was told that a Grandmother was Maori.

Doesnt look like any Maori connection to me.
Cyrils Birth Cert would be what I would get but the Family looks pretty easy to follow to me.
I havent looked a Normans Carter yet maybe his Mother was Maori.
