Morris Kenworthy [Marriss Kenworthy aka Morris or Maurice], s/o
James Kenworthy and
Jane Brierley, was born in Saddleworth area of Yorkshire on 4/17/1818 or 1819. He married
Frances Ho(u)ldsworth, who was born 3/27/1821 in North Hemsel. They emigrated to USA in 1847 and settled in Newburgh, Orange Co., New York before moving to Carbondale, Lackawanna Co., Pennsylvania abt. 1857.
Newburgh, NY is directly across the Hudson River from Fishkill, Dutchess Co., New York, where John and Jane (Milburn) Kenworthy were enumerated in 1850, after arriving in America in May 1848. John and Jane (Milburn) Kenworthy brought their younger children with them, of whom, William Milburn Kenworthy (1840 - 1920) was one of them. William removed to Carbondale, Lackawanna Co., Pennsylvania and is buried in the same cemetery as Morris Kenworthy.
When Isaac M. Kenworthy brought his family to America in 1872 and 1873, they were found in Carbondale, Lackawanna Co., Pennsylvania where his son, Alfred I. Kenworthy, was born in 1875. Morris's great-grandson, Paul Kenworthy (1917-2001) gave me a picture of William Milburn Kenworthy (1840 - 1920), but we haven't been able to figure out how we are related (yet).
Isaac M. Kenworthy moved the family to Harrison, Hudson Co., New Jersey in 1879.
