Hi all
Looking for info on Mary Anne Dinsmore b 26/06/1858. Her parents were Mary Anne & John  Dinsmore she had two brothers William and Alexander. This is a new rellie I wasn't expacting to find so I have no other info. She turned up in a Parish record in Sion Mills/Urney Co. Tyrone. Any info would be great.
Thanks
Louise

Hello Louise,

These are the John Dinsmores listed in Griffith's Valuation of Donegal which took place in 1857.

John Dinsmore, Tobernahoory, Drumhome, Donegal
John Dinsmore, Main Street, Ballintra, Drumhome, Donegal
John Dinsmore, Ballyruddelly, Lismintan, Drumhome, Donegal
John Dinsmore, Lacklom, Drumhome, Donegal
John Dinsmore, Grahamstown, Drumhome, Donegal
John Dinsmore, Ballintra, Drumhome, Donegal

I'm not certain whether this is a listing for one guy owning a lot of properties or several guys with the same Christian name.

Christopher

Hi, I don't know if you look at this anymore, as your post was a few years ago but I am Bertie's daughter and the family tree referencing Robert in loughborough was put up by my daughter. I have some info and would be interested in sharing.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Gill

Welcome to Rootschat. elcd27 hasn't been online since 2007 but perhaps they will still have notifications for this topic turned on and read your message.

1901 census 7 Magirr Stranbane, Tyrone, Maryanne Dinsmore 60 Widow, William 28 Horse Dealer, John 38 would now come under special needs.
1911 census 2 Backtown Urney East Tyrone, William and his wife Alice brother John living with them.
Just because Mary Anne is not mentioned on the census does not mean she was not  living in the house at the time, the census were taken on who was in the house at the time of the census people calling.

The 1901 census was supposed to list all those who were in the household on the night of 31 March 1901 and the 1911 date was 2 April 1911.

No, the census was supposed to record the names of those there on a particular night- not the time the census form was collected. It does help if you give the link to the records when you find them to save the original poster and others reading the thread from searching for the same details.

Alexander Dinsmore and family in 1911 census-
