I was there from 1960 - 1963 so we must have come across each other. I was the pay clerk.
Who do you remember from that time? You will probably recognise some of the names others recall from the early sixties.

Hi lynn, how lovely to hear from you, names, W / O Breeze I used to stay with his wife, as she hated being on her own, they had a big alsatian dog, who let any one in, I even got breakfast in bed and not go to work before 10 am. Squadron leader Nolan C/O,one name I have tried to remember,she kept in touch after I left, she was from liverpool, in admin, wasnt you lynn was it? The memory is so bad these days, Sgt Mansell was in charge p b x we had various cpls Eastwood one. Pat Haynes and Husband Bob ( I think) they came in from Aden the first couple to be posted together, they went to thorny as he became an Interpreter, they lived in m/ qs. Jenny Booth, came from Sheffield, she was the smallest WRAF, met her in lincoln, my fault we didnt keep in touch. Ann price, she married Terry Allen, Elenor Lesley ( Elf) Jean Lilliecrap, only about 20 more to think of faces i can see, fellas Tony Liptrot, George Blackburn,in from Gan, Margaret mgackie , she married Fred ?so many faces, I will dig.out photos may jog our rusty memories, the one name from h q mccormick, she was I think local WRAF, Happy Days, Tuppence, and Maria medic I think Madge Fenny Dave Askew, these are some of the few photos I have, its so strange how we meet up again through others, least expected, I did love my time at Haydock, the people in the village as well, always had to allow time for a chat, so nice to keep in touch thank you hope to hear again Veronica
