Hi Everybody.
Looking at one of the pictures, the WAAF standing to the right of Roisin ...is that Ann Headland, the one everyone called "Heidi"?
There was a strange co-incidence at Haydock, the number of airmen with the initials AM...Alan Manson, Alan Meikeljohn, Alan Milne, Alan Miller, Alan Marshall. Another two names just popped out are Fred Tordoff and Chalky White. Does anyone know what happened to Roisin, the one Sunshine Girl called the Infamous Roisin?
May you all have a wonderful Christmas...including certain persons residing in America!!

Thanks, Jumbo. <grin>
As to Roisin Mullen, she was posted along with Janet (Red Setter) the other G.O. WRAF to Wittington (?) I believe. What happened to her after that, I don't know.

Hi Jacqui,

The photo is of Guildford High Street which is where I do my Christmas shopping.  There has been a lot on snow here in Surrey and I was snowbound for three days.  It has mostly cleared now but it is very cold.

Thank you so much for your invitation.  I may take you up on it one day!!!  You never know!  I have been to the US a few times and think it is a great place with the friendliest people in the world.

Lynn

Hi Jumbo,

I can't recall the WRAF Cpl in the photo.  If only I had been organised enough to put names on the back!

Is Tony Casey the dark haired  lad in the photo with me and others at a party?  The name is familiar.

Lynn

Hi Lynn!

You should remember Tony Casey. He worked in Acctg with us. He either sat against the wall to Ma'am Eagles office or you sat there and his desk was between yours and mine. He was a really nice chap. Quiet and relatively shy but could come out with a good one-liner every now and then.

Oh how the memory dims!!!  I am not sure we were together for long.

Most of my time there was with Barbara and Kathleen.  I always sat in the corner (best place for me LOL) with the counter and door to my right.  I have a picture somewhere . . .

Obviously the dark haired lad in the photo isn't him!  Wonder who he was?

Hi Lynn:
Well, if you sat in the corner with the counter and door to your right and I sat at the other end, facing the corridor wall, then Tony Casey must have had his desk between us. The two WRAFs you mentioned weren't there when I arrived in February '64.  There was just you, Tony and I as Clerks. I seem to remember we got a local WRAF after you left but, if memory serves me right, Tony was still at Haydock when I left in late '65.

Hi Lynn!

You already have put a face to Tony Casey.  Look at the picture you put on the board on page 13. The chap you described as "the curly haired lad from Accounting" is Tony!
