Hi everyone, Have been reading the latest messages and one of the names lists, interesting.
SACW Tuppence, yes I remember her, well I should do, went out with her for a while. Actually got caught with her in the television room whilst on standby duty and was duly charged, happy days !!!
On a different subject, was there a station badge for Haydock, if so, does anyone know where it can be obtained.
Best of luck to everyone
Steve

Hi swo man,
According to  Service Pals,  RAF Haydock, ( Blackbrook) and RAF Fazackerley were never bequeathed a Station Crest, I was surprised when I scrolled through all the known  RAF Stations, some of them really large important  camps that never had a station crest either --- It seems really strange to me.
 Regards,
 Flygirluc.

Hi Swo.man, I believe you live just down the road from me, been through there time and time again.  There's a big Pub on the corner next to the traffic lights (can't remember the name, ah was it The Orrell Post pub) and there use to be a motorcycle shop next door.

If you were at Haydock the same time as me you will know all the people I know 63-65 (was posted to Nocton Hall when it was dewrafed) remember Cpl Andy Richards (Police), Sgt Carthy my boss in General Office.  If you go to page five there is a photo of me and Pam Smith outside the Spiders Web Club acting the fools LOL

Speak soon Red Setter

Hey Swo.man you didn't finish off what you were saying.  I know where the Mount
Hotel is, I have  been in there a few times.  That pub near the traffic lights is it called The Stagg?  Yes I believe Sgt Carthy died of a heart attack, he was a great bloke could twist him round my little finger LOL.  You must remember my best mate at Haydock Jac Hurley, we were always together, she worked in the Accounts Office and I worked in General Office.  Do you know the lady that worked in the mail Office, she was a civvy, she was OK too. Got to go will speak soon.
