Who knows Sheriff Bain?

Where can I find Sheriff Francis Bain, born in Bolton around 1883? He married Winifred Winsall from Greenwich, London and they had a son Donald who died in 1957.

If he was born in Bolton and married in Greenwich there's not much point looking for him in Scottish records. Try the 1901 census of England and Wales at http://www.1901census.nationalarchives.gov.uk/ and www.freebmd.rootsweb.com

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
