1861 Census - Melbourn
« on: Tuesday 04 October 05 12:04 BST (UK) »
Can anybody help me please.  I've been following this family through all morning, and my credits on the 1837-site run out before I could get to the last census entry I wanted.

John King age 61  And Alfred King age 28.  Both born Melbourn. I think they will be together.  Should be resident Melbourn.  Reg District Royston.

If anybody has this census I would be very grateful for a look up.

And if it's not pushing it, James King age 30 would be handy.  But he's not so important in the scheme of things. More a useful extra.

Kind Regards

KA

Hi KA, I'm researching Kings in Melbourn also. My Kings start with Robert b.?  and his wife Elizabeth b.<1783>. I believe their children were Sarah b.1811,Susanna b.1808 David b.1812 and Frederick b 1817. Frederick is my gg grandfather. Let me know is this is your family. pa bird

Could well be :D.  Thanks for that.

I have got back to a John King b. 1790 in Melbourne m to Amey (nee Stockbridge) b. 1792.  They have an Alfred, Lydia and a John.  I come in with Lydia, who returns to them in the 1851 census as a widow. I don't recognise any of the names you have, but that's not to say they are not related in some way. :)
