Dear Krisesjoint,

Thanks for looking up Elizabeth Creed for me, I can't believe that you were so fast, I only posted this yesterday afternoon.

Could I ask a big favour,
could you have a look to see if her mother was there, or was Thomas a widow.

If you ver need any information in South Australia don't hestitate to ask me.

Many thanks

Jean

Hi Fellow South Ozzie.  ;) Unfortunately 1841 has many shortfalls. No POB only yes or no for in or outside the county. It does not list marital status nor relationships and Adult ages are rounded down in 5 year blocks so someone listed as 35 could be anything between 35 and 39 . No wife is present but sorry I can tell you no more. There are a couple of other households on the same page may be of interest.

Your welcome Jean. I am a long way from the sea, in the mid north. Big Old Stone House, very cold inside. I have been sitting here with the heater on, would you believe. Only turned it off a little while ago. Time to turn Puter off and go something constructive....Cheers Kris  :D

Hello Jean,
Thought you might like to know that Thomas Creed's wife was Charlotte Taylor and, yes, he was a widower by the 1841 census.  I have the baptismal records for their daughters Ann and Rebecca which names them.  I also have Thomas and Charlotte's marriage record, as well as Thomas and his brother James' baptismal record from Castle Cary.  Thomas, by the way, was the son of John Creed and Elizabeth Gulliver.  I also have their marriage record at home.  If you would like, I can send you the details.  Would certainly appreciate any additional information you might have about this family as well.
