1861 Look-up request

Hi,
           I am searching for a John Sykes and family, he was born Luddington, Lincs. about 1837, he married in Hull in 1855 and I believe was living in this area around 1861. All help appreciated.

I have found a John Sykes living in Wressle with his Parents George & Elizabeth he was listed as born 1838 Luddington but is also listed as Unmarried.

William    1836  Luddington
John        1838  Luddington
Mary A     1845  Luddington
George    1852  Wressle
Emily E     1858  Wressle

This is the only John Sykes born in Luddington around 1837 listed when a name search is done.
Do you have the name of his wife maybe this would help in trying to locate him if this is not the correct John Sykes.

Hi Lizzie,
              It looks like you have just proved my assumption wrong, I have on my tree a  John Sykes from Luddington which you have kindly found and because he has a son William born abt. 1864 turn up in the 1881 census I assumed it was he who was previously married to a Sarah Barker in 1855. If you could check this family for me it should prove conclusive.

                    If you could look for John And Sarah Sykes and family so I can eliminate them from my search, William wasn't born until later that year so there will be no sign of him, Many Thanks Mel
