Looking at the 1891 Census, Ellen (Helen) born 1866, Ireland.
In the 1901 Census it states she was born 1869, Ireland.
The FHL has her birth as 19 May 1866, Kilderry, Londonderry, Ireland.

No problem, I forgot to say the mother's name is listed as Mary Anne Nelis, so it has to be the right birth.

Not thinking straight lately .... I should have told you the batch # for Ellen's birth is C701287,
father James McColgan, mother Mary Anne Nelis

Ellen had a brother Peter, baptised 26 Jan 1868, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Parish of Iskaheen, Diocese of Derry.
His sponsors were John Nelis & Mary Anne Doherty.  James & Mary Anne McColgan lived at Garrison, Muff (?) at the time.
Ellen's sponsors were Edward Nelis & Ellen Nelis.  This entry has Ellen's baptism date as 8th May 1866, not the 19th.
