Thanks indeed Trystan for the Noah picture, from me too. And didn't I spot a Greenhalgh off to the left?
Thanks to everyone who took photos, and for sharing them with us, next best thing to being there in person.....

Hi All,

Now you've got your own back  ;)

Forgot about cameras on mobiles Trystan - taking a photo of a very tired teddy is not allowed  ;D

Cheers

Keith

LOVE all the photos!  Almost feel as though I was there!  You all look very cold and rugged up, though (she says, from sunny Queensland!
 ;D )

Keith was practising his photographic skills with his (then) new camera by doing a Good Sam act for me, near where he lives.  I hadn't realised what he was leading up to!!!   ;D  ;D   But it doesn't surprise me!

A question - I had to nip to the ladies half way through the talk about the archives.  When I returned he had just finished telling you all about someone being buried without their head.  I meant to ask someone to tell me the story later in the day but I forgot.  Trust me to miss a miss juicy bit.

Could someone please tell me the story.

Cheers

All about someone being buried without their head.   Trust me to miss a miss juicy bit.

Cheers

I can't tell you sorry Fiona   :o :o

I have just included it in the script I am selling for my new Horror Movie  ;D ;D
Don't want to spoil the ending for all the movie goers!

It is about Riots in Manchester - the smallpox outbreak - death - headless burials - street fighting - cover ups - hospital mismanagement.

Naaa don't think it will sell - just like the average day in Manchester - before the Family History brigade arrived to liven it all up!!  ;D

Cheers

Hiya Fiona,

It was in the Sexton Records  and very sad,

A little boy of 4years was buried and the charge was I think 4shillings, but it was crossed out.

It turned out that the hospital had removed his little head for 'research' and replaced it with a brick.

The family found out and there was some kind of riot and they had to bury him free of charge.

I may have not got this quite right, but there will be someone who has a better rentention than me who will put it right.

It was the only bit of the talk I did not enjoy

Hi

Jakky were you taking notes or have you just got a fantastic memory? I agree with the story but was it during the cholera epidemic or on another page?
