Although I was eager to be there, once the date was decided it clashed with other plans previously arranged - why can't birthdays be more flexible?  :P

So I'm also sulking but hope you all have a great day with lots of fun and I'll be awaiting sight of the piccies.

all done and dusted ;D  booked in at the Britannia Hotel near Piccadilly and I am going by train, a first for me,

Good price all round and I will haveThursday night and all day Friday free to  research  or  spend! ::)

Please do not  tell me if it is  the wrong hotel and there is a better one, I have done it now and I am soooo looking forwards to meeting you all,

Hi jakky

The Britannia is really well located - only about 5 mins from the principal shops and maybe 10 mins to the 'Cathedral Triangle'.  Don't get sucked into the new Selfridges though - you might never emerge! :)  If you've never been to Manchester before, head for St Anne's Square for a good spot of retail therapy!
