map of the City centre, showing the free Metrolink routes which run between Picadilly Railway station at one end, and Victoria Railway station at the other.

Just so you get some idea of prices, the following link shows various B&B establishments recommended by the Visitor Info Centre.
Only the ones bearing an image are in the City Centre
, the others are too far out, in the greater Manchester area.

Is anyone thinking about actual dates yet? Like, REALLY soon after Christmas? Late January? What do people think? - just for the record, the Trainline don't book more than 3 months in advance....
