**Rootschat Meet No 3 - 11th March 2006, Manchester
« on: Wednesday 28 September 05 15:10 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone

Following the success of the two previous Rootschat Meets in Dudley and York, I was thinking that now might be a good time to start thinking about Meet No. 3.

It would be nice to hear other Rootschatter's preferences and ideas for "Where and When".

I, personally, would find it difficult to attend a Meet in London, mainly because of the cost.  Of course, the arrangements would have to suit everyone, not just me!!!!!!!

 ;D ;D

Talk about great minds etc. etc.... I was only thinking the same this morning Lloydy.

What do you think of this idea ?  Why not have COUNTY MEETS ?  Where people from the same county (and those from neighbouring counties) can meet up.

That way, more people would be able to attend, and it wouldn't be expensive, ie: a relatively short distance to travel and no overnight stay.  Okay we probably wouldn't get to meet a lot of the friends we've made on Rootschat, but if we still kept the GENERAL MEETS as well, then that way, everyone would get a chance to be involved.

How say you ??

Hi

I would love to meet both with people from the county and nationwide. I would like the arrangement to be firm though as it sounded as though people went to the North East recently and didn't meet up. I would have been really disappointed if I had gone that far and not met anyone.

Well Jane,

The only way to make sure it's a firm arrangement, would be for you to arrange the Nottinghamshire one yourself.  What do you think then ??  ;D ;D

Hi

I knew you would say that! Maybe.

It's the national one I meant and I do not have the time to arrange that unfortunately otherwise I would. I can only hope a volunteer will step forward.
