It would be great to get a third meet organised.  I have been to the first two and had a great time at both.

I think the main (national) meet needs to be relatively central so as many people as possible can have a chance of making it, but its also a good idea to arrange County meets maybe tying in with the various regional Family History Fairs.

Any more suggestions for a venue for No. 3?

Fine by me Mobo!   I'm pretty flexible really but have to say I don't much fancy London.

As well as centrality we should think of the transport links too.

Mainline trains and airports help those travelling from further afield.

Cheers,
Pam

Could we do one of those voting/poll thingy's to see where most people, who would attend, come from. Then go to the middle of that...

Hurumph!

I see Scotland has been cut off altogether on that map!

There have been other meets - Cumberland I believe was recent.  It is a really good idea.  Advertise them in the Common Room and a mod will sticky them at the top for a while once the location is fixed.

We can add a poll anytime.  Someone suggest the list choice and I'll merge it.

How about one of those mileage charts from a map book.
That has a list of main towns. L.
