Good idea Lesanne :D

How about somwhere in the West Country since you've tried the north and the midlands?

eg Bristol, Bath, Exeter......etc

Adrian

This might be convenient in Liverpool

There will be a Family History Fair held at Liverpool Aintree Racecourse, Princess Royal Stand, Ormskirk Road, Aintree L9 5AS

SUNDAY NOV 6th 2005 10am-5pm (admission usually about £2)

Mary

;D ;D

Well Ticker

Here's a map of England, and I reckon the centre is about Leicestershire/Nottinghamshire - what does everyone else think ??

There's some suggestions for the list Pam ;D ;D

How's this for a choice then?  Now bear in mind we've already done Dudley & York.

And this is only for a General Meet, not any random local meets.

Glasgow
Edinburgh
Newcastle
Liverpool
Manchester
Durham
Birmingham
Oxford
Bath
London

Tried to cover four corners and a bit in the middle.

I'll let there be 2 votes each.

Any additions before I do it?

When the list is agreed I'll set up a post and you will have 2 votes.

If there are no additions I'll set it up as is.

wendi,
It would be good if there are open meets that they are mentioned in the Common Room as well/ or liked to ones on the counties.  I don't have any relatives in London soI don't visit London boards much but from Edinburgh I'd rather go to a London meet than a Newcastle one because it's cheaper to fly than train.

If you are looking for places with good road, rail and air links you could add Nottingham (East Midlands Airport, M1 & good rail links) and Leeds (Leeds/Bradford Airport, M62/M1 and main line rail links).

Jill
