Blackburn From Lindley / Halifax /Cleckheaton
« on: Friday 13 August 04 22:03 BST (UK) »
Hello

Does anyone have any links to the following families:-

James Blackburn (born 1798 Northowram)
(his father was William Blackburn) married Mary Bairstow in Halifax Parish Church 1817 then had 10 children born Lindley, ( William ,Martha ,Eliza, Susey, Mary ,Elizabeth, Mark , John, James ,Ann) and Sarah Jane who was born Brighouse 1840.

James married again 1849 to Isabella Wood (nee Graydon, born Sunderland)
Son John married Betty Maude in 1851 and lived in Halifax then Cleckheaton.

Am also related to William Maude (born 1808 Midgley and Martha Stansfield (born Midgley 1808) they married in 1829
later living in Halifax, their son Robert Maude ran the Temperance Hotel Broad St from mid 1860,s his son James Maude managing it in 1880s

Would be very pleased to hear from anyone with connections to the Blackburn/ Maude/ Bairstow/ Stansfield families

Hi Dodger

Sorry we haven't been able to help you so far on this one.

Have you made any progress,  or do you have any further details that could help someone to find what you are looking for?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

:) :)Hello, this may be a longshot, but this is the info I have at the moment, I have been unable to find a marriage but I may have a possible Blackburn.
My Great Grandfather was Charles Blackburn Haynes, we have presumed for now that his mother was Emily Blackburn, born Kirkburton 1849, from the 1881 census info but she was living in Brighouse and married to Charles Haynes father George Haynes.Don't know if it is of any use to you or do you know of an Emily Blackburn born abt.1849. :) :)
