Help Please any details David Lloyd
« on: Yesterday at 09:46 »
Trying to find details of David Lloyd and his wife Margaret. I have nothing except that they were the parents of Charles Lloyd born 2/2/1778 Castle Rising, baptised much later July 1781 at St Margarets and St Nicholas Kings Lynn.
I am after all the usual family tree details. Thanks

Have you looked to see if they appear on any family trees?

No other baptisms in either place or burials for the parents?
Hinchliffe - Huddersfield Wiltshire
Burroughs - Arlingham Glos
Pick - Frocester Glos

Just wondering if you have found any other children baptised with those parents' names.

I can't see a marriage in Norfolk - and David Lloyd is quite a 'Welsh' name. I am thinking the couple may have originated from Wales. (Which doesn't help progress the search at all!)
Places of interest;
Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Southern Ireland, Scotland.

Mr is Mr (Mister)

Other record has Reverend Doctor;

Not religious so had to google;

The correct and formal style is "The Reverend Doctor" (abbreviated as The Rev. Dr.) when preceding the full name of an ordained minister who also holds an earned doctoral degree.

The King's Lynn Grammar School is now known as the King Edward VII Academy, a mixed comprehensive secondary school located on Gaywood Road in King's Lynn, Norfolk

Another google;

When you see "Reverend LL.D." (or "Rev. LL.D.") attached to a person's name, it means the individual is an ordained minister who also holds a Doctor of Laws degree.
