Marriage certs

My gt gt grandfather William Ryan married Margaret Murphy 22/01/1832 and my gt gt gt grandfather Michael Ryan married Johanna Bourke 5/02/1807, both at New Inn/Knockgraffon, Tipperary. Ireland. Where can I acquire marriage certificates for them ? do they exist ?

There was a huge fire at the offices where B.M&D registers were kept in Dublin I think.Not sure of the date,but early 1920’s
Try Googling it,I hope  the records you seek weren’t among those lost,but most were.

You've posted in the IRELAND RESOURCES board which is for resources not queries. Hopefully a moderator will see it soon and move it to the correct board but as there is no Moderator for Ireland it may be a while before that happens.
Were the families both Catholic? (it was Church of Ireland registers that were in Dublin for safekeeping which were destroyed in fire at Four Courts, Dublin).
If they were Catholic- many parish registers are online (free) although they may not go back far enough (dates vary from parish to parish)-

or Do you have those records and are looking for the marriage certificates? If so, civil registration didn't start until 1864, so there aren't any "certificates" as I understand it.

Others here are more familiar with Irish records, so correct me if I am wrong. not that I'll remember by next time, but anyway.

The Irish BMD registers were not in the Irish Public Record Office, Four Courts when the explosion and fire occurred in 1922.
