Which John Hayden married Matilda Clarke
« on: Today at 13:45 »
There are two John Hayden's residing in Broxted, Essex in the 1880's.

There is John Hayden born about 1885 the son of John Hayden and Sarah King, John senior dies in 1890, widowed wife Sarah remarries Frederick Turner.

The second John Hayden born about 1883 is the son of George Hayden and Ann Salmon.

When I have looked at both John Hayden's on 1911 census they both appear to have married Matilda Clarke. It appears the marriage to Matilda was in 1903 in the district of Bishops Stortford. I have the year, but to date I can find no record else ware of the marriage. Determining which father of John was at the marriage would confirm which John Hayden married Matilda Clarke.

Any information on the above would be gratefully received.

Regards

Martin

As the page number for the 1903 marriage between John Hayden and Matilda Clarke is high = 1183, it is more than likely that the venue was a Register Office.  In which case purchase of the certificate would be the only option.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
