William Thomas Adams born 1859 Ontario.

His father Charles William Adams and wife Charlotte were in Canada sometime between !851 and 1861,as they are in both the 1851 and 1861 censuses in England.
Would be really pleased to hear of any records of their life in Canada ,and also any passage details.
Green family ,West Hanningfield and Writtle,Essex, 1700-1900,plus other Essex areas and later dates.Collins,Dobbs,Terry,Betts,Hucknall etc,Nottinghamshire.

Have you checked all census entries?  1891 for William shows birthplace as Ontario but see below re earlier entries

1861 also shows a daughter Eliza Jane b 1857.  Both children are shown as born Canada - America

Charles was an agricultural labourer in both 1851 & 1861.  1851 also shows 2 children b Cambridge

John W 21mths & Emily H 5mths

In 1871 the daughter born 1857 is shown as b Hanrishsville United States

What happened to the 2 children shown on the 1851 census?  If they died before 1861 their death dates will give an idea of a timescale for any travel to USA/Canada
