What you are really looking for is finding someone who either remembers the event or was told something about it. Have you found any relatives of Nora Savage to see if they know anything? if she married again perhaps children might have heard something.

Yes apparently there was an attempt but unfortunately due to deaths any possible information wasn’t there. I am not sure if Milltown Cemetery would divulge who paid for the opening of the grave to inter John Devlin. The grave and very large headstone was purchased by Terence Devlin and has the names of his wife and young son of 18 months also his daughter in law Gallagher and the
Name Mary Ann Madden and lastly John Devlin June 1987.
