Death of Monica Leslie
« on: Yesterday at 16:10 »
Monica was a former moderator of Rootschat.  I recently found that she sadly died on 9.12.2024 aged 63yrs which came as quite a shock.  I can't find anything on RC about her death

I have passed my condolences to her husband & he has asked if I would let other RC members know

Oh goodness, how very, very sad this news was.  :'(

Monica was a fabulous person with exceptional skills and work ethic with her research and the help she showed everyone with her knowledge of genealogy in Scotland and so much more.

My heartfelt condolences to the family, deeply sorry for your loss.  :'(

Thank you for letting us know Carole, I was thinking of Monica a few weeks back and noted that I had not seen her on the boards of late.

I particularly liked her avatar of the little girl with the sticks....her knowledge & kindness, particularly on the Scotland board is a loss for RootsChat and all who knew her here.

Condolences to all family & friends of Monica, RIP sweet lady.

I too am very sorry to read this sad news. Monica was a great researcher. Her kindness shone through her posts which were always so supportive and helpful. I always enjoyed contributing to a thread in which Monica was involved. She will indeed be sorely missed.
