1939 Register notations - Violet Kate Osborne

Hello - I've attached a clip of the 1939 Register for my mother Violet Kate Osborne. I'm hoping to decipher the notations in her entry. The dark blue coloured ink with the name HOOPER and 1947 date is her marriage to my father Russell Hooper. In the occupation column the EEP 8.2.51 I believe refers to when they moved out of Portchester to Leigh Park. EEP is the area code for Petersfield which fits that idea. By then she had two babies, my sister and me and she would have probably registered for welfare for us.

I haven't any idea what the two other notations might be. In the birth column 4  20? And in the last column B243/EQA? EQA is the area code for Isle of Wight, so something to do with her working on the IOW before she married?

Birth dates were sometimes amended at a later time, possibly after registering with a new doctor or a hospital visit. There are other examples of this on the same page as your mother's 1939 entry.  It appears her birth date was amended on 8.2.1951 (EEP 8.2.51) from 31.8.25 to 31.4.20 - this makes no sense as there are only 30 days in April.  I am thinking this may have been a clerical error. As you know, your mother's birth was registered Sep Q 1925 (I had a quick check on FreeBMD).

Yes a good thought. She had a brother Tom born in 1920 but not April. He's not here because he was in the Royal Navy - HMS Royal Oak. Which was sunk a short while after this but that's another story.
