Diary summary w/ending Sunday 22nd March
« on: Yesterday at 12:33 »
Welcome back to RC!

Well put out the flags and a big hurrah for being back online after over a week..

Thanks so much to Tristan for taking the time after his operation to think of RC’s and what it means to everyone.

Another week starts today and the sun is going to shine, in my neck of the woods, and hopefully for other areas too!

Look forward to hearing from everyone!

Great to be back here after missing a week, very grateful to Trystan for sorting things out, here's hoping nothing else goes wrong.

Dull here today but forecast 15° tomorrow and 16° on Wednesday, looking forward to that as it's proper chilly today!

Yes,phew! I had not realised how addicted I am to RootsChat.
Lovely it is up and running again .
Louisa Maude and I have kept one another sane ,mind you in my case it is all relative!

Just got my Mothering Sunday card from my daughter, via my son who has finally unpacked his suitcase from his call in to head office and then my daughters’s - she gave him the card to give to me last week!
She usually phones this evening but there is big drama going on, her horse has  Colic, she has spent all night with him ,it is a terrible conditional and  if a torsion occurs usually  means the horse has to be put down .
Very sad, because he is looked after really well.
Might be the livery stable’s fault but they have been very good all the time he has been there.
I will email her ,she won’t want to talk and indeed might stay there with him as he is so attached to her.She will certainly be there if he has to be put
down .Seemingly hearing is the last sense to go so talking to an animal being injected is some comfort to them .
How sad. He was much younger than his documents  stated ,backed too soon
and she had to let him mature some more before it was right to ride him .
Imported from Ireland by a reputable dealer so why his lack of age was not
noticed- ?
He has had the kindest treatment and blossomed .

Got ready to pot up my plants today ,my present from eldest son and daughter in law, but cold and drizzley so I chickened out .
Son here got me a lovely cyclamen,I find them hard to keep, can so quickly rot at soil level so base watering in pot base only .

Well teatime beckons ,curry this evening but I thought I had poppadums but can’t find any in my store cupboard !

So glad all has been sorted out , many thanks and best wishes to those concerned  .
Viktoria.

It’s wonderful to see everyone back posting on here and other topics…
It just goes to show how much we all rely on communicating with ‘ friends’ who we’ve never met but have a great connection to.

Tristan and Sarah are wonderful and truly deserve some meaningful recognition.. but how and what?… I don’t know the ins and outs of who else helps with the site or if it’s just them… anyone know?

Viktoria lovely to see you back and LM too and at least you’ve had one another to communicate with as have I and Roobarb!
I’m so sorry to hear about your daughters horse, it’s such a tragedy when one’s animals are suffering but at least there is always that option to remove their suffering however hard that is unlike us humans …

Take care all
