F. Cade and sons, king st, cork

I am looking for information about this mineral water and bottling company started around 1850 by my GG Grandfather, Francis Cade of Passage West.  I would like to know when and why the company closed and who was running it at the time.

You need to be registered with FamilySearch to see this, it will give you names in 1879 number 232

There is an ad for a beer in the Evening Echo Jan 15 1953 with “Agents: Messrs F. Cade & Sons Cork.
And an earlier beer ad from July 2 1908 gives the King St. address.
An 1901 ad says it was established 1845.

Thanks Sinann.  I appreciate your help with my question.  Some of the info you provided I was familiar with but some was new to me which has been very helpful.   Interesting to know that the company was still functioning in 1953.  That would have made it over 100 years old.  I am still keen to know who in the family was still involved , especially in the early part of the 20th century.
I am on Family Search and Ancestry and I do occasional forays into Find My Past and My Heritage.
I thought I had posted my reply immediately I read your message but I guess I did something wrong!
