It’s good to (hopefully) solve a puzzle. We all enjoy it, don’t we!
Great find to start with from Mabel.

There is a birth in 1888, London City
Thomas Patrick Mason mmn Driscole

Maybe ….
1891 203/112 - Hackney hospital
Thomas Mason 2 yrs - birthplace ‘not known - brought from City of London’

On 1900 he appears to be enumerated as T Frederick Mason, and when he naturalizes he's Thomas Alfred

He also goes by the surname Doose, according to his naturalisation

Here he is in 1910 as T Frederick Mason (not 1900)

In reply #23,Mabel, you gave us Fread Mason with Jessie in 1900.
Looking more carefully now, Jessie is a servant and he is a boarder with a ‘Drose’ family - maybe the surname ‘Doose’ you mention.

My apologies. It was the 1910 I was looking at. Didn't make the link with the person on 1900 with Jessie when I first posted that link because I'd only just found the Masons in the US and hadn't discovered Fred's existence

The name on the naturalisation card is definitely Doose - it's typewritten.

So I think we're missing 1900 for Alfred, Fanny and possibly Ellen Beatrice, the daughter b 1893

I think they may have emigrated very soon after the 1891 census

Primrose Mason aged 0 died July 1891 Chicago - born England

Jessie Mason b England 1884 is an employee in Chicago in 1900

Who is the Male  Mason person below Jessie on census?

SS

added??
MASON, THOMAS  PATRICK     DRISCOLE
GRO Reference: 1888  D Quarter in LONDON CITY  Volume 01C  Page 2

Sorry heywood, see you have already found him!
