Deciphering part of a 1790 baptism

Hello

Can anyone work out what the father's occupation was written in brackets please?

It's the 4th one down:

10 - Margaret, of Abraham and Elisabeth Gadd but I don't know what is in the brackets (Accompt??) there is something else after it, possibly the street where they lived but can't understand that either!

Can anyone help please.

Yes I see Accompt. Presumably short for Accomptant (accountant).

The street is "Geo. Str" - Presumably George Street

But I'm not sure the street name looks like the 'Geo Str' in the line above it?

Not Geo Str !  I was looking at the wrong line!

The street is "Ellbr Str"  - presumably Ellbroad Street

The original image I see on ANC has " ... (Accomptant) Ellbroad Street" in full

I wonder if this is Abraham Gadd, trustee of the 7 yr British Tontine offering membership from 25 Mar 1792 to 25 Mar 1793?

Hi thank you for that, apologies for delay in replying.

That's strange as the baptism I found and posted was on Ancestry, I can't seem to find the one in full, so thanks for letting me know, I'll look again!  Will also look into the other details you found.

I've also just come across a 1808 probate for a Abraham Gadd but finding it very difficult to read and understand and work out if it's the same one as in the baptism.

The Abraham Gadd of the will leaves his gold watch to his son James Gadd and everything else (personal and real estate) to his (unmarried) daughter Rebecca Gadd, who is also his executrix.

Don't know if this information ties in with the baptism.
