1879 Birth record

This Birth record, No 424, shows the location of Birth as "Crowsfoot" or something similar.  I have not found any Townland with this name.

I have 2 questions
1.  Is my reading this as "Crowsfoot" correct?
2.  If this is not a Townland, how might I find the likely location?

Looks to me like Crowefort, but I'm no Irish expert.

I thought it looked like Crowefort - but I couldn't see either that or anything similar on the Ireland Townland Database.

Maybe it is a very local name such as a large estate.

Thanks you for looking at this.  Some thoughts: It might be a Farm, or an Estate as suggested.  I have been looking at Griffith's Valuation to see if names of land or places are mentioned.  Not really seeing anything.

I had hoped it was Crossreagh as this would have confirmed that my Family from Ireland Lived in Crossreagh around 1879, (Edit: Some of the family) moved to Scotland before the 1861 census, and then Returned to Crossreagh around 1871.  But, Family Tree's are not straightforward like that...

Thanks again, your help is much appreciated.

New input from Sinann, Now that is very interesting.  I will read this next

Just to add - this reminded me of an address of an ancestor of mine on the 1841 Yorkshire Census in Heckmondwike. The family's address was Swallows Nest - there were a few houses.

I pictured this as an old terraced Street on a hill - leading to a field with trees, where there were swallows!! (I have a vivid imagination!)

However, when I researched that town - I discovered that a Joseph Swallow had built a homestead ages ago -- and named it 'Swallows Nest' - hence all the houses with that address, were simply on his land or in that area.

This is why I thought the address of Crowefort (or similar) - may have been something like that.
