Hi Jacob,
I have just finished work so have just seen Jen's pm now.

Yes, I think I will be able to look up the full entry for you soon including the plot number.  Likely at some point in the next couple of weeks.
At that time period the section wasn't included in the entry - they only recorded the plot number.  The plot number on it's own is not much help without knowing the section.

When I get the full entry I would suggest that you contact bereavement services with this info and they will
hopefully let you know the section and whether it is a marked or unmarked plot.

That's great, thank you so much for doing this, very much appreciated! And thanks for the advice also - I'm assuming that since she died in the county asylum she wouldn't have been afforded a headstone but you never know. Thanks again.

Hi Jacob,
https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/271627685/elizabeth-hazard

I have looked up the full burial record and have added this to the memorial on Find A Grave.  As this is your ancestor do let me know if you would like me to transfer this memorial to you – I am happy either way.

Entry 973
Elizabeth Hazard
Female
Age 75
Widow
Died at 'Morpeth Asylum
from Tynemouth'
Ceremony by R S? Holmes
Burial 26 Dec
Plot 9390 consecrated

I would email Bereavement services with this info (you will find their email address) via this link and they will likely be able to let you know which section Elizabeth was buried in.

If she had died in the Workhouse, I would say the chances of a stone memorial would be slim but in my experience I have known of people who died at the County Asylum who did have memorials.
Even if Elizabeth is in an unmarked plot, possibly the people at the burial office may temporarily mark the spot for free.  Then if you wanted to you could put a photo request up on Find a Grave.

Thanks, for your kind words of appreciation, Jen.  :) Hopefully, now that RootsChat has been fixed after the database error, Jacob will revisit this thread and notice that the full entry and plot number has been found for him.
