Co Antrim Northern Ireland
« on: Monday 16 February 26 16:33 GMT (UK) »
Hi everyone I have been researching ancestors in Co Antrim Northern Ireland. The family I am interested in is Moore of Ballyclare. William Moore shoemaker Main Street is my 2 times Great Grandfather. I would be grateful for any information. I found some information in  McKinney of Sentry hill genealogy notes. I found these online at https://www.irishantiquarianbook.com/

You need to give us a bit more information. The 1901 census of Co Antrim has nearly 3000 people named Moore. Give us details of what you know about yours, full names, who died they marry, when did they die, approximate years of brith, religious denominations etc. That may make the task a bit easier.

This could be him.

https://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Antrim/Ballyclare/Ballyclare_Town/917947/

Moore   William, 29, Bootmaker, b. in Antrim, Methodist, married
William J Moore, 5, Methodist
William John Moore, 28 Cloth maker in a bleach and dye works, Presbyterian, married

The 2nd page of the House and Building Returns says he has a private shop, boots. It looks like he is in a town since there are also a grocery and a drapery shop on the same page.
