Hope things get sorted out L.M.
I put cork tiles in our bathroom ,in the previous house, they are warm but do need sealing and  hardboard  was put down first as our old Victorian floorboards we’re not truly even in fact I am considering doing that here but I think it too
might need hardboard putting down first .
I could do with a much smaller bath ,have to have of those stools which sort of shorten the bath ,it would need more wall tiles to cover where the big bath had been,I might not be able to get a match to the rest of the walls.
So leave things alone !

My new little oven is behaving well and microwave ,they are so shiny ,

Nice visit from children ,they are very good, Flash Harry is interested in all sorts of things .
Kyra, just wanted to play with my son !

A lot of tarradiddle from Belgium Pensions administrators !
Now they want a face to face “meeting “ via my iPad, - I will have to have my hair done!
They ought to remember my Dad was up to his knees in Flemish mud and German bullets for them ! Or was that Arthur Haynes?
Whatever it is a diabolical liberty !

Gosh February is flying by ,still wet and very cold, but nothing to moan about when you see the flooding elsewhere .
Hope all are alright .I know there are problems and difficulties but you are stoics and carry on ,admirable .

I forgot to give Flash Harry a little gift I had ,a do it yourself Cristal making set, needs adult supervision but is in a special clear plastic case.
He is interested in so much ,his parents have done  very well.

Well milky coffee and bed calls,so night night folks.
Thanks for your news and kind interest in mine .
Viktoria.

Morning all
I haven't even looked to see what the weather us doing right .

Pleased you had a good day with the  little ones  Viktoria,  they grow up very quickly,

After having the tiles up I realise our floor boards in the bathroom must have shrunk over the years,  we do need a board put back  before we decide on çlick and whatever the boards are called or vinyl , I know it will take sometime as my husband can't work as fast as he used to  neither can I but it will get done, and of course there will  be the painting.

We are working towards a Bell Tower open day at church, the Captain is doing demonstrations for  a donation , that should be good fun, I did try to become a campanologist years ago but at the time my mother was having treatment and I just couldn't spare the time after coming back from London,  I  was very in awe of the Sally, one false move and I could have been swinging from the tower, not a 0retty sight.

Enjoy your day everyone

LM.

Oh, church bells, the sound carries so far .
I remember leaving Belgium after a holiday there when we had returned to England ,we sailed from Zeebrugge ,and could see across the flat land the great Mediaeval tithe barn at Lissewege ,where one tenth of every farm’s produce was stored for the monastery there.
The bell was ringing across the polder land ,we stood until we could see no more .
It was sad because we loved our life there and were leaving good friends.
But two obvious University candidates who would still be in education into their twenties and not sure about grants for them there ,plus a job relocation for my husband and a little girl who would go into higher education all being well, it was the right time to return ,but we were very sad to leave.
The very flat land let the sound and sight of the Abbey stay with us until quite out to sea.
On a Manchester Sunday morning there were Church Bells ringing and Church Lads’Brigade and Church Brigade bugle bands marching through the streets.
The Scouts too had bands ,all almost gone now when they are so much needed ,a focus for youths ‘ energies and they were ( the boys) an attraction for girls!!!
Ah well, times change .

Salmon for tea, so not a big cooking session ,need an interesting potato dish though.Got peas - frozen and baby broad beans also  frozen )
I will slave over a packet of Colman’s Hollandaise sauce too!

Hope all goes well in the bathroom L.M.

I used to be given Guinness and milk when a little girl,I had returned to sooty Manchester from  lovely Shropshire and Mum said I seemed “ to fade” - well I missed the people  I had lived with so happily very much ,played out side in fresh air etc ,so it was thought a tonic might help ,hence Guinness and milk!
It is a wonder  I am not an alcoholic!
Thanks for all your news .look after yourselves .
Viktoria.

Hello All

Roobarb, your weather forecast came good here today  :)  :) (still a lot of filthy mud about over the field) but had a walk this afternoon  :)

I am promoting you to Voluntary Weather Forecaster-in-Chief (V. W. F-in-C)  :D

My itchy inflammation rash, which came on mid September (right forearm and began to spread to left forearm) has started to disappear in the last two weeks and now only a lightish scar and rough feeling skin now. But it will go pinky red in the shower, so there must be something in the water triggering an immune response, but once dry, it fades and is steadily going.

In the last few weeks I have been hitting the Proteolytic foods hard, because it had calmed a bit then come back worse.

Proteolytics are protein-digesting enzyme foods, that neutralise too many proteins that flow in the blood (during an immune response) and convert them into amino acids (amino acids are the building blocks to life and repair).

Nausea last few days pretty bad and awful nausea today (I get nausea with any immune response, noticed it in the 1980s) and I felt fuzzy in my frontal lobe earlier today which has calmed a bit now.

I was feeling so sick, but hungry this evening (skipped dinner I felt so nauseous). After the walk I fancied some fried chopped onions done in my Organic Butter, but once they were done, I thought I might as well crack 3 eggs, grate some cheese and add milk, then beat it and bake it until set.

End result in photo  :P  :P

A good half has slipped down a treat (tasted delicious) nausea calmed and now tired ready for bed  8)

Hi Viktoria, I like the "I will have to have my hair done!" to go before the panel or whatever.

Perhaps they just want proof you are still around  :) and we are pleased that you are  :)

Surely your identity and a recent Pensions Letter with your address on it, is enough to prove things.

These authorities make people jump through hoops to get an entitlement and when struggling with health and trying to look after oneself and keep home tidy and clothes washed and dried, it is just another necessary nuisance to deal with.

L.M., yes, my one Guinness was very alcoholic  :)

I am trying to boost something similar to estrogen.

The nearest is phytoestrogens

"Guinness, like other beers, contains phytoestrogens derived from hops, notably 8-prenylnaringenin (8-PN), which is considered one of the most potent plant-based estrogens."

So when they say Guinness is good for you [in moderation], it probably is for some.

Women generally live longer and it is believed to be due to their level of estrogen.

Women have two X chromosomes when born (XX)

I also discovered the Woman has some type of a reserve immune system (like a back-up)?

Perhaps the NHS rather than dishing out all this prescription medication with known side effects, perhaps they'd be better off saying here is a Guinness Voucher, have a pint on us  ;D  ;D

Take Care All, Mark

I remember years ago hearing   Guinness was good for you, 8 don't think you hear much about it nowadays but I did have a non alcoholic  one which I thought was quite nice, I am not a heavy drinker at all.
PH wants my ipad, will be on the new week next

I'm getting error messages when trying to look at new replies. I refresh the page a couple of times and then it works, don't know if that would be the case for new messages but might be worth a try.

"Database error" -I got this message once this morning.  It told me to try again later and report to administrators if it still didn't work, but actually it did work the next time I tried for a while.  Now I'm getting it again when I try to move to another page.
