Hi All
Just been catching up on the end of last week's, I'm behind like a mad cow's tail.
Caroline, they discovered several decades ago that my Mum had a hiatus hernia and suggested more bland food. I hope whatever you do, brings you some relief.
My food currently and for the last six years is fairly bland nutritious food.
Roobarb, I hope you are keeping well and managing to get out and about in this weather!
Bumble B, I loved the cuddling carrots.
Jeff, nice place you built, with a stone frontage!
I tried to buy a terraced house for £20,000 in need of full modernisation (and no bathroom), when I was an Apprentice Plumber and went to my Building Society with my wage slips and book and the answer was not a chance! I just wanted to do what the young Carpenter did at the firm, buy a house and do it up whilst still living at home.
Now they are £400,000 upward. The prices are stupid
https://www.rightmove.co.uk/house-prices/cv37/broad-street.htmlL.M. yes, it was actually 10% Deposit when I got a Mortgage, but I needed 1/6th saved to bring the purchase price down to £30,000 and then I was in with a chance of 3 x our annual wages along with an Accountant's Estimated projection of possible future earnings, which I never achieved in those years.
I smiled at your Broom Stale between two chairs (I think) to hang you bits and pieces on.
Viktoria, I hope that cough is improving and you are having a nice time with family!
I hope the Cheese and Onion Pie, meal turned out well.
Gillg, just walk as far as you comfortably can (a lot of people cannot walk as far as they once did), but all movement is good for us all.
Take care all, Mark
