Are you aware that there was a burial in Tintinhul on 1st February 1804 for a Ruth Brown
ADDED Freereg has a transcript of Mary Browns baptism, it gives her mother as Ruth Brown - no father mentioned
It also has a burial 13 May 1840 for a Ruth Brown age 66

Thank you for that both of you.
She married James Turner in 1825 and dies in 1860 in Bridgwater.
So it looks like I won't be able to find her father.
Thank you again to both of you.

Are you sure that you have the right Ruth Brown.
Tintinhul registers on freereg have a baptism in 1774 for a Ruth Brown, there is no record on freereg of her marrying in Tintinhull and the 1840 burial would tie in with that baptism age 66. The 1803 baptism for a Ruth Brown is probably her daughter and the burial the following year could also be that daughter who was born 1803. There are no other entries in that parish for a Ruth Brown around that time.
Your Ruth Brown / Taylor in 1851 gives her age as 46 and place of birth as Bridgwater

Her first daughter was named Ann Turner 1828
Second Daughter Elizabeth Brown Turner 1835 - giving that child her maiden name could be an
indication of her mother's name.

In 1871 James Turner had a Mary A Pole (widow) lodging with him, is she the same Mary A Pole who witnessed James and Ruth's wedding. In 1841 Mary is married to George Pole and living in West St, Bridgwater. There is a marriage in 1814 between an Ann Turner and George Pole so possibly this couple.
Have you researched James Turner's family.

I did notice a Son of James and Ruth Turner was named Luke.
A LUKE Brown, widower, married Sarah LONG a spinster 8 Nov 1818 St Mary, Bridgwater
1841 he is born c 1796
Just thought Luke not a common name so could be a Brother of Ruth?
