Pearsalls
« on: Wednesday 04 February 26 23:42 GMT (UK) »
Hi all
I am descended from Joseph Pearsall (1792-1836) and Ann Guttery (1792-1880) - child Mary (1812-1880 married to Richard Tomkinson (1809-1879) who were all around Brierley Hill.
Wondering if anyone knows Josephs siblings, parents and origins but also any general information. I am having trouble verifying if what I have is correct.

The marriage was at Handsworth in 1811.

Both bride and groom were recorded as of this parish.

What were the names and order of birth of all their children?
Having a look at the names given to their children can be useful in looking at earlier family names.
Milligan - Jardine – Glencross – Dinwoodie - Brown: (Dumfriesshire & Kirkcudbrightshire)
Clark – Faulds – Cuthbertson – Bryson – Wilson: (Ayrshire & Renfrewshire)
Neale – Cater – Kinder - Harrison: (Warwickshire & Queensland)
Roberts - Spry: (Cornwall, Middlesex & Queensland)
Munster: (Schleswig-Holstein & Queensland) and Plate: (Braunschweig, Neubruck & Queensland & New York)

Thanks All
Joseph and Ann Pearsalls children were - 7 children – Mary (b1812), William (1815-1880), Joseph (1819-1846), John (b1822), Ann (b1826), Elizabeth (b1830) and Eliza (b1832)

Josephs parent were William Pearsall (c1770-1809) and Ann (c1769-1850) and are buried at st Michaels churchyard at Brierley Hill.

Wondering if William Pearsall c1880 had any other children?
Also where Joseph and Ann might be buried?

Thank you for the Freereg tip - a great little site.

And thank you for the children - I did not realise that Nancy was a common alternative to Ann. VEry helpful to know.

If you don't already have it.

Joseph Pearsall - Boiler Maker (1792-1836) left a will you can find it on ancestry.
He names his wife Ann his 3 sons William, Joseph and John and his 4 daughters Mary wife of Richard Tomkinson - Publican, Ann, Elizabeth and Eliza.
