William Fawcett

Stuck on the birth and marriage details for William Fawcett believed born Prudhoe in 1866. Is on 1911 and 1921 census living at Hagg Bank. Had Daughter Sarah Jane born 1891 and Son Thomas born 1893 but can't trace anything before this.

The birth registrations should have a mothers maiden name listed.

Birth certificates for the children would have more information about the mother.

What birth place do the children have on census?

Is William shown as single, married or widowed?

1901 census is fairly easy to find using the information provided

William Fawcett 34
Hannah Fawcett 32
Sarah Jane Fawcett 10
Thomas Fawcett 8

So Hannah was his wife

Possibly died later in 1901
Hannah Elizabeth Fawcett 32

Hannah Armstrong marriage in 1890 William Fawcitt spelling on index
So we can now check and cross reference the children's births to the Armstrong maiden name

Free BMD index has a William Fawcett born Mar 1865 Hexham which covers Prudhoe

In 1891 William 24 and Hannah 22 are living with the Fawcett family

Yes just spotted that spelling for the marriage thanks

Birth registrations for Sarah Jane and Thomas are also under Fawcitt with mothers name Armstrong
